11月11日是加拿大和美国的“Remembrance Day”和“Veterans Day”, 这一天也是第一次世界大战停战纪念日，中文译成“军人纪念日”、“阵亡将士纪念日”、“国殇日”和“和平纪念日”等。届时加拿大人都会佩戴一朵红色罂粟花以纪念为加拿大牺牲的人。
